Eugene L. Chang is a partner in the Intellectual Property and Litigation Departments of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP in New York. Mr. Chang specializes in intellectual property litigation and licensing.
Mr. Chang has litigated intellectual property issues domestically and internationally across a wide range of technology areas including analog and digital circuitry, software, medical devices, mechanical systems, optical sensors, and electronic trading systems. He has also litigated and counseled clients in environmentally friendly technologies such as light emitting diodes (LEDs) and compact fluorescent lighting.
Selected Professional and Business Activities
Mr. Chang is a member of the Intellectual Property Section of the American Bar Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, and the Intellectual Property Owners Association. He is also a registered patent agent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Mr. Chang has helped teach courses on the use of experts in litigation, and has been a guest lecturer on U.S. patent litigation at Fudan University in Shanghai, China. Also, he was honored by the Legal Aid Society of New York with an award for Outstanding Pro Bono Service.
